My client is a unique business working in a very fast paced industry. Due to internal promotions, they are looking to recruit a Stock Distribution Assistant / Allocator to work in a very busy Buying and Merchandising department. This is a fantastic role for someone who has a good appreciation of numbers / data, is confident and willing to learn and develop.
This is an entry level role for a career into Head Office Retail Merchandising.
To work closely with the Buyers and Merchandisers to help manage the distribution of stock within the business. An ideal candidate should be able to analyse large amounts of data and make recommendations for replenishment. You will need to communicate regularly with the Buyer, Store Managers and the Area Managers to discuss and improve stock turn.
*Compile stock and sales reports ensuring data accuracy
*Analyse reports and make recommendations regarding stock distribution
*Liaise with the Area Managers, the Visual Merchandising and buying teams to discuss stock issues and communicate/recommend necessary action to be taken
*Store visits in order to review stock packages
*Organise and monitor offloads/transfers of stock in the most cost effective way for the business
*Raise Purchase orders in line with company requirements
Should be able to work on their own initiative. Have exceptional team working skills and strong Excel experience is essential. Ideally you will have a strong appreciation of Retail, and a basic knowledge of supply chain management is recommended but not essential.
